The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Blooie I lived that life for a long time... Never forget when my customer said I needed to visit all 450 federalized airports in a year. Think about it... 365 days in a year. 3 days per airport. So if I never went home it would take 3.7 years to visit them all. We executed a modified schedule that took 5 years,

I just feel so defeated and worthless to Ken just when he needs me the most.
"the most"? As if he didn't need you a TON when you were raising kids alone while he was deployed? Woman, you do plenty and I know he appreciates it.

Today I woke up just before 8 then was accidentally awake for like 2 hours
Um, most people who wake up at 8 AM stay awake for the next 14 or more hours. How did you accidentally stay awake?

We got a tiny bit of freezing rain here last night. The house moving truck spun out on the way here, so they turned around and headed back to their shop. No idea when it's going to be set now, as things are about to warm up and it will be a mucky mess here. :hit
Crap. (can I say that here?)

So scary. I've always been a responsible camper for fear that my fire could start something else....
Camp fire was not started by a campfire, just as the Carr fire wasn't started by a car. Yeah I did think both of those things.

Home from Hulett an hour ago. Put on some makeup, sprayed my hair into place, changed clothes, and we’re now on our way up to Billings for a Sojourner’s meeting he “forgot” to put on the calendar. I just wanna sleep.
:barnie:barnie So much for your two whole days of R & R.

Often times fires are named after the areas where they start... There is speculation that the Camp fire was started by power lines....

There has been restrictions on burning in California for a very long time. No open fires anywhere... if you want to cook over fire you need to have a barbeque to hold your wood or coals...

My grandpa when he barbequed always kept a bucket of water next to the fire. When he was done cooking he would reach in with his tongs and take all the coals out one at a time and drop em in the bucket. Later he would dump the water out the coals would dry and he could use them in another fire.

I always though this was a good idea...
