The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

"the most"? As if he didn't need you a TON when you were raising kids alone while he was deployed? Woman, you do plenty and I know he appreciates it.

Um, most people who wake up at 8 AM stay awake for the next 14 or more hours. How did you accidentally stay awake?

Crap. (can I say that here?)

Camp fire was not started by a campfire, just as the Carr fire wasn't started by a car. Yeah I did think both of those things.

:barnie:barnie So much for your two whole days of R & R.

Because I made the mistake of going on my phone. But also I couldn't really go back to sleep/bed was uncomfortable and got up a ton, tried going to the bathroom, tried getting water, made toast, etc. but then I finally got back in bed and went back to sleep. Probably could have gone back to bed sooner. Or stayed up. But I also stayed up late. Till almost 3. I usually stay up till 1 or 2 and sleep till 11 or 12 but that time I slept later by accident. Though technically it would have been normal time if 11 if I hadn't stayed awake for 2 hours first

I thought of you today Kelsey, i nearly bought a 2 gallon fish tank for a betta but decided i really didn't need it and the temperature in my room varies a lot. I have enough to take care of as is.

Probably a smart decision!! I love bettas but hate fish tanks so I probably won't buy any more. And I'll probably sell my goldfish but now that it's almost winter I think I'll just buy a bigger tank for now and keep them overwinter then sell in the spring or summer.

good for you Cap. adults know they do not have to act on every thought that enters their head. :woot

Exactly why I did not buy any mice the other day.

I built a ton of cages in the past year and they need to be winterized. Plus i need to install water warmers.
We mostly just close a few doors, and I carry some hot water out of the house for the bunnies in the morning. This year we are putting up some fiberglass panels around my bantam run to keep out snow.

We’re going to do ours as soon as it warms up again. I’m excited to put up my tree too:D
I like to get mine in and up before it freezes hard or the temperature drops too much. One year of putting up lights in -10 weather was enough to get me moving earlier.

OK Cap thanks for asking. Good thing about cold weather, don't have to pay to have the grass cut - okay more weeds that grass.

How are your Tolbunt babies doing are you going to keep any for breeding?

The other day I got cut on an envelope - massive paper cut, thought I'd have to be air lifted to the hospital 20 minutes away. But didn't want to go, so I just covered it up very well with a few band-aids. I don't plan to use that digit again until it heals completely.

Otherwise I'm liable to get in a rut, with a new paper cut every other day. Gets truly boring. Actually got cut on the big envelope that had the BYC new calendar in it. Don't intend to sue over it. No major harm done. Plus I love Backyard Chickens.
