This one they do - it’s also the route school busses take for sporting events and such. 14A, which starts near Lovell and then links with 14 up on top near Burgess Junction, closed for the season last week. That one is scary enough in the summer!

The road through Mt. Lassen will be close soon for the winter here in California. They do keep 80 open all the time and 50 most of the time. Hwy 36 can be closed more often too. Hwy 44 is also open.

The jury on Ken, however, is still out! That ride up from the Sheridan side was nasty - snow, heavy fog, icy....and lots of traffic heading down from snowmobiling, skiing, and Christmas Tree hunting. I knew it would be bad - it was worse than I expected. Worse than he expected, too, but he was committed. As well he should be!
