i make macaroni and cheese the way mil made it, she made hers with her home canned tomato's in it. cook the macaroni, drain and rinse, mix sharp cheddar into the macaroni, (as much cheese as you like )add tomato's to your taste, cover with cheddar cheese, bake at 350* til cheese is browned, eat. i had always eaten plain ole mac and cheese growing up but when she introduced me to this , never went back to plain, something about the tomato's in it.:love

I accomplish something similar by serving stewed tomatoes with mac n cheese - then spoon them over the mac n cheese. :drool

My fruitcake got here :D going to try to wait till tomorrow to open it so that it’s sort of like a Christmas present but that is going to be VERY hard to do LOL but that’s why it’s just a picture of the box and not the nice tin or anything because I haven’t even opened the box yet lol don’t wanna be tempted :lau

Oh and btw, I managed to trim the cat’s other paw tonight. The second paw was actually easier for some reason lol I think I figured out how to burrito wrap better. Wrapped her tighter (easier with slightly smaller towel), put the towel further up the neck, and remembered to fold the back/bottom this time and trap her back legs. Plus this time I threw another smaller towel over her head which I think calmed her down. I mainly did it so I wouldn’t get bit because after one of the nails she was kind of looking like she was going to (and she later did try once but couldn’t get the towel off) so I guess it worked for that part but I also figured not being able to see may calm her down a bit. Which it did. And don’t worry, I took the towel off after nail to let her breathe cause I didn’t want to suffocate her and she’s funny, she actually would shut up completely when I took it off, guess she was glad to have it off, but when I grabbed her paw again she would act up and get loud so she definitely was quieter than with it off for actual nail clipping. And I didn’t quick her at all! Yay! I had one precarious moment where she pulled her paw out of my hand really fast as I was clipping and I thought I was going to and she was acting kind of mad/hurt but then when I checked, turns out I had just sort of like split a little part of a nail that was hanging there so I just pulled the split part off (she was not happy about that but I know it didn’t hurt, was barely attached and dead) but once I was able to hold her paw still again (took a little bit) and tried clipping it again then I was able to get it as short as I wanted and fix the split without quicking her. Next up is the back paws. Tried tonight but she was just not having it so I let her go. Will have my dad help me tomorrow. I think the back paws will be a two person job. I may also try to trim some of the fur off the bottoms of her feet since I’ve never done that either and it’s really long and maybe some of her butt fluff or ear fluff. But idk if the foot fluff trimming is a good idea or necessary?

Someone apparently wrote this on the white board on the fridge. Probably my brother. Nerd*. :lau

*I’m just kidding. I think it’s cool. I just don’t understand it AT. ALL. :lau  maybe one of you will. He just graduated from MIT in June.

Reminds me of a genetics problem a proff gave to us one day in class. The problem was, what would be the offspring of a narrow hoofed (track)Yak and a wide hoofed (track)Yak. Narrow track being recessive. The hoof of a Yak is called a ponti. After a very lengthy process of figuring it out...came up with a WIDE TRACK PONTI YAK. There was a Pontiac dealer in the Dallas area at the time that advertised on TV, the mascot for the dealership was a Great Dane, named WideTrack! :lau
