Thanks you two!
I am going a bit bonkers here at work with printers failing and first of quarter weirdness at the University
That is a perfect plan!Just keep telling yourself "I'm one year closer, one year closer, one year closer...
And you get cake tonight!
That is a perfect plan!
Remember Kdogg "pet sitting for strangers." You never know what kind of people they are. If any red flags pop up in your mind, back off.
On the PFM thread there was talk about changing that one. for some reason it is still there though. Of course they are talking about BYC addicts but the term has a negative connotation on it's own, especially when used as a single word.
Some modifier should be use or it kind of violates BYC rules
I doesn't bother me, I could change it if it did...I just thought it was kinda funny how it occurred. Maybe change it to 'chicken addict' or just plain 'bird addict'.
I really don't see why someone would be offended but nowadays, it seems to not take much to offend some peeps.
I'm not easily offended.![]()
Its his dog hes never complained even when I had to wake him up at times....
Shes a Swiss Mountain Dog cross. Very very sweet. He adopted her from the pound. She came with a Dossier of her medical history, an inch thick. Apparently she was attacked by a German Shepherd and ripped up Terribly. Helen Woodward took on her care they didn't expect her to live.
According to her history she was raised up around livestock Chickens Goats... etc. Then the terrible attack... After she healed up she was adopted by a family with a baby... Three months went by....The baby became a toddler and they turned her back in... I can only speculate what went on through all of this.
She was at the pound for another couple of months before my son found her. Brandy Was Whale eyed for a long time... Wouldn't go outside during the day... We had to encourage her to go out. I think she was waiting for the other shoe to drop...
I never yell or scold her... I dont praise for bad behavior.... but find ways to encourage good behavior... Doggie door worked famously even though we had to teach her how to use it... only took about three days ... a week with confidence.

Where do you find these threads....![]()
Yes she has and she has found a home here for life... I hope to take her up to the house eventually... I need to coyote proof the yard first... but would love one day to see how she really is around chickens and goats.

Seriously ? I think it's like a magnet. They seem to attract me.![]()
That thread yesterday was worse than the one a couple of weeks ago...I think the worse since I've been here or lurking here.
Or worse yet extend your hand for a handshake. Once while in Key West the Princess and I were walking down the street. A couple of BIG drunks approached, and one extended his hand. I accepted, and he clamped down. "Hey, man, we're out of money can you help us?" I rolled into him, broke the grip, and said. "Sorry man she didn't give my allowance this week." We hustled away and I was once again made aware of the existence of 'stranger danger'.![]()
x2 seems to happen when i'm not hereWhere do you find these threads....![]()
sean, you and sour have to tell us when you run across the wacko's, so we can see tooThat thread yesterday was worse than the one a couple of weeks ago...I think the worse since I've been here or lurking here.
i must lead a sheltered life, never saw anything like that down here, or for that matter anywhere but then i don't go out after dark anymore, just like when i was a small kid living with momma and daddy, had to be in the yard at dusk and in the house after dark, funny how things reverseNot an uncommon story down there. I saw a lot while living there. Maybe too much![]()
