Be strong! Walk away Kelsey! I saw your schedule...no time to potty train a puppy on there!

Well, they were just born yesterday so they wouldn’t be ready until probably April but still. I am going to Arizona right at the end of March, early April when they would be available and then I am getting more chickens the end of April and of course have the garden to plant. Granted, those things don’t really take up that much time and I can multitask but I am also trying to get my pet sitting/dog walking business launched so I really don’t have time for a puppy trying to do that. Granted, I could probably take the puppy with me to some of the jobs and it would be good socialization for it, but not all of them and it’s probably just not a good time. Especially since I am also trying to save money to move out eventually. I can’t really afford a dog. And it wouldn’t be fair to the dog if I got it only to move out in a few years or less. Granted, it would always have a home because I still live with my parents and they want a dog, especially a Golden anyway, I am sure it would miss me and also they definitely wouldn’t do all the training and dog sports and stimulation I do so it would likely be very bored haha and they might not be able to handle it anyway. Idk. And then there is also the fact that my dad tends to ruin dogs in that he undoes any rules I try to impose so I really do not want to raise a puppy here and have it end up horribly mannered. He claims he learned from Gator but I don’t think he has and don’t think he would change. He spoils them rotten and lets them do whatever they want. Not that I don’t also spoil dogs but I also impose rules. So, long story short, there are definitely A LOT of reasons why I should not and cannot get a puppy or any dog right now. BUT. All that logic almost goes out the window when I look at those pictures and see those cute little puppies and the words “I have reservations available for boys!” :hit

Bingo is getting huge!! Sure sorry the temps have held up the work and done in the batteries for the time being. Once that tank comes and you can heat the house things should improve a lot.

Both my gas furnace and tankless water heater have hoses that drain to condensate pumps because the devices are below ground level. You shouldn't need a pan under your furnace just a hose to a drain. And if there is no nearby drain, a condensate pump so you don't have to empty a bucket.

I'm surprised "they" didn't know that was originally an outside wall. It is pretty obvious given the windows in what will be your bedroom. Oh well, it will be taken care of in time.

Yes, I get that. But it is not my fault!
Sure it is, you are supposed to walk in front of him with a flame thrower to melt the ice so he doesn't slip! ;) Actually, I had plenty of "slide" moments yesterday and some "how do I get there from here" One can lose a little traction and slide DOWN to a patch of "no ice" but sliding UP doesn't work well at all. I was lucky on several occasions that I didn't follow your DH's example.

Good luck!!

Nice plants but beautiful lake picture!
thanks dyc's, we like it, most of the time its nice and quite but lately we have a couple of new people move in, one two houses over and one across the little lake that have dogs they tie out and they start barking, the one across the lake is the worse, i love animals, dogs number one on the list but that one has me wanting to choke him when i'm sitting on the dock fishing, he starts and barks and barks, never shuts up, drives us up the wall

I hate that too Sharron! We live in an area that used to be rural, but so many people built near us and all are very rude about their dogs. If they are not yapping then they are trying to get to our chickens! :rant:barnie

That would irritate me also. Have you tried talking to them?

no, we have talked to the man when they first moved in, the dogs are his girlfriends and she was at work, but the dogs were in the house, NOT barking so we didn't know they had the mouth on them and that they would be outside during the day and to be honest, hate to start a disagreement:confused:

You are nicer then me. We’d like to take our dog camping with us but we’re afraid she’ll bark at strangers. She’s not aggressive but strangers don’t know that.
