Be strong! Walk away Kelsey! I saw your schedule...no time to potty train a puppy on there!
Well, they were just born yesterday so they wouldn’t be ready until probably April but still. I am going to Arizona right at the end of March, early April when they would be available and then I am getting more chickens the end of April and of course have the garden to plant. Granted, those things don’t really take up that much time and I can multitask but I am also trying to get my pet sitting/dog walking business launched so I really don’t have time for a puppy trying to do that. Granted, I could probably take the puppy with me to some of the jobs and it would be good socialization for it, but not all of them and it’s probably just not a good time. Especially since I am also trying to save money to move out eventually. I can’t really afford a dog. And it wouldn’t be fair to the dog if I got it only to move out in a few years or less. Granted, it would always have a home because I still live with my parents and they want a dog, especially a Golden anyway, I am sure it would miss me and also they definitely wouldn’t do all the training and dog sports and stimulation I do so it would likely be very bored haha and they might not be able to handle it anyway. Idk. And then there is also the fact that my dad tends to ruin dogs in that he undoes any rules I try to impose so I really do not want to raise a puppy here and have it end up horribly mannered. He claims he learned from Gator but I don’t think he has and don’t think he would change. He spoils them rotten and lets them do whatever they want. Not that I don’t also spoil dogs but I also impose rules. So, long story short, there are definitely A LOT of reasons why I should not and cannot get a puppy or any dog right now. BUT. All that logic almost goes out the window when I look at those pictures and see those cute little puppies and the words “I have reservations available for boys!”

Actually, I had plenty of "slide" moments yesterday and some "how do I get there from here" One can lose a little traction and slide DOWN to a patch of "no ice" but sliding UP doesn't work well at all. I was lucky on several occasions that I didn't follow your DH's example.
