The Farmers' Daughter
Bob's biggest Fan
I bought a cabinet incubator/ hatcher combo a few weeks ago. I've got 2 batches going right now. No idea what I'm going to end up with though. I haven't been able to separate my breeding groups, so I may have chanteclers, buckeyes or crosses of the 2. I have an order fir 4 doz buckeye hatching eggs, but the guy wants purebred. So, in exchange for the eggs he's going to come and help me get my coops and runs sorted out. I'd be fine if I didn't still have 13 boys who didn't make it to freezer camp last fall. Still too cold to get them taken care of (neighbour's setup is completely outdoors).Indoor toilets and tubs are nice to have! You guys have made some progress since the last video, bet you're getting anxious to have it finished!
Congrats on the eggs! Are you going to use an incubator or do you have a broody to stick them under?
Eta: one of the reasons I want partridge chanteclers is that they are great brooders.
