i snuck outside this evening and fed my chickens(husbands been doing it) and was in the greenhouse watering a few plants and he caught megot hollered at but i was so tired of having to stay in, the fresh air altho cool, was so nice, then i went to the garden and picked a few beans, big peppers, jalapeno's and the last of the mustard greens, going to fix everything for dinner tomorrow, well, the jalapeno's and the mustard, just have to decide what meat to make with it, i can start it and husband can stir or turn them
I'M BACK
yes bruce, i'm sure y'all have and i sure hope everyone stays healthy this winter, at least get the flu shot, maybe it wouldn't have been so rough if i had gotten mine but i hadn't been to the dr yet, next month now, was going to call and find out when he had them in but before i could i came down with itMaybe you better drive up there and do a welfare check
Well we are glad you didn't but I'm sure many of us have "been there".
Still without power. Lost a huge pine tree overnight and a few other trees but thankfully none near the house. Drove all over looking at damage. It’s crazy. Especially by the water. Lots of docks damaged. But trees and branches down everywhere.
The street behind us had the top of a maple fall right on the power lines. Tree still blocking the road. Lines still down. Thankfully it’s not the lines that run to our house but still.
We are now attempting to set the generator up as it’s clear it may be out all day.
I’ll post some pictures of the damage later. Uploading pictures on data is very slow, time consuming, and uses a lot of data. So I’m going to wait. I think once we get the generator running, the internet should still be fine as the lines don’t appear to be damaged. We’ll see.
Still very windy here. The warning goes till about 6 I think.
One of the trees that fell was very rotten and filled with carpenter ants and other bugs. Gave the chickens said rotten wood and leaf litter underneath it where they had run to hide (we cut right through the nest). The chickens were in heaven.
I’ll be back later if we can get the internet working but if not I’ll be back tomorrow.
yes, isn't it funny that we all feel that way and yet in the mornings we think maybe we have it whipped, then that evening we're back to wishing for deathglad that your on your way back...I've been there, and yeah, I wished the same thing...felt like I was dying and hoped I would!
