My calendar says that Thursday is Debby's birthday. Since I am going to Northampton, MA tomorrow, I'll say HAPPY BIRTHDAY @N F C now.

Kdogg maybe the fox has been someone's pet and got put out! When I used to do serious walking every day, I would pass a house a couple of blocks north of me. Twice I
saw the back door open and a fox came out. No joke. She must have at least been feeding him.
Wonder if she stopped, as we suddenly inherited a fox that made or found a den at the end of the property in a mess of Buck thorn bushes & trees and a rusted out metal shed.
Once I saw him with another fox - honestly feminine, refined looking head and they romped around for a day and never saw the second one again. Was kinda hoping I'd see babies one day butguess it was wasn't meant to be. Or maybe the males don't help out with any litter.
Something isn't right with a fox that is not wary of people. Could be it grew up "in town" and people fed it ('cause it was so pretty)??
Really good reason to leave the stumps. Because you KNOW there are people who don't give a carp about the damage their wake causes.
Hmmm, are you in charge of the BYC restaurant? Do you deliver?

When my parents lived in Denver, there was a female fox that had 3 kits right there in their suburban neighborhood. Everyone in the area was leaving food out for them and thought it was great fun watching them swipe newspapers and kid's toys left outside. I don't know whatever happened to them, just one day they were all gone.
Fox like that wouldn't be afraid to sit in a yard and stare at a human. I still wouldn't want them around my chickens.
our son is finding out what it means to get older, hes had both hips replaced and a vertebra fused in his neck and now hes talking about having both knees replaced, he's only 50, well, will be in january golden years my foot, rustMy son is supposed to visit in December - IF he has any vacation days left after going to New Orleans with his girlfriend first.
He told me I should move into an apartment or condo, so I wouldn't have to change my own light bulbs (I couldn't reach.) Duh! It won't happen but, I wish I would be around to see him at MY age(now) and see how agile he is.
I suppose if it was a rented apartment you could call the owner/manager to change light bulbs. A condo you own, you call yourself to change them.He told me I should move into an apartment or condo, so I wouldn't have to change my own light bulbs (I couldn't reach.)
