The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Any snow at all is "bad snow" :lau
yeah, thats a good point but at least its now knee high, when we first came up here, it would snow like it knew how, there were times that it was waist high on me, I know, i'm short now but at that time i was 5'6"
guess what i'm saying is, this is nothing, right everyone in cold country?

Morning Sharron, DMC, Bob and everyone! :frow

Cool morning, 38°F, sunny, no wind :ya, suppose to be in the mid 70's today!

Bob, is that soup from last Thursday or for this coming Thursday?

Everyone make it a great day! :celebrate
I'm a degree warmer than you Sean, that's sad...

Good morning everyone!

DMC, congrats on winning a sweatshirt at bingo!

Cap, great bargain on the incubator...better get busy with more building! That bator is going to have you swimming in birds

Bob, what kind of soup are you making for Thursday?

Don, thanks for sharing the pictures!

Have a lot going on today but I'll pop in when I can.

morning rj:frow
what kind if i may ask?

It's going to be a Chicken/Turkey vegetable with homemade egg noodles. It was supposed to be turkey, but what I pulled out of the freezer turned out to be two old cockerels instead of an old Tom. I'll simmer it for four hours, then harvest the meat and return the bones and let it cook another 8 hours. Then strain it and jar it up in the fridge so it's ready on Thursday.

Yep, it's pretty sad when Tennessee is warmer than South Texas! :barnie

light brahma's ?
i raised the different brahma's for awhile, loved them but when we retired, we started being snow birds and i sold everything but a few bantam cochins, now i also have a few chocolate orpingtons
We are going to get more birds what breeds would you suggest? I think brahmas are good breed nice and docile except the feathers on their feet bleed whenever they bend side ways. :hmm
