Thanks for the omelette tips Shad! Cooking it on low heat makes sense to me, I think I've been cooking it too high in the past.

BTW, do you have any of your great dark coffee to share? I could use a big cup!

You need some of Shad's house chickens! So did I last night, was putting the remainder of the rice and quinoa I made for DW into a container and a bunch popped out of the pan onto the floor when I started to scrape it out of the pan.


They are going to need a bigger house!

It was a mix. That brand USED to have a good wild rice and quinoa mix then they changed it to white rice and quinoa. Found the old stuff on Amazon (this was a year or 2 back) so bought the 3 bags. Sadly the picture was of the old stuff, what I got was the new. I don't eat it (TMI but it does bad things to my intestinal function)
 
i'm trying to make rj's soup, been at it since dinner time, waiting for it to come to a boil, then i will finish, can't wait to taste(i didn't add the chipolte tho, didn't have any ), will taste and adjust seasonings after i add the rest , like pepper flakes for out heat
 
@rjohns39 , made the soup today, since i don't know if i have the same way that you make it all i can say is wow, this is a keeper, husband loves it(altho its still very hot) we love it and i made it the way you told me, slow and easy🥣

edited to say we both loved it and husband says to make it again i agreed
