I'm probably the only person who doesn't know what a keto diet is. Would someone please enlighten me?. I'm guessing it doesn't allow ice cream, cake, cookies, candy, - maybe not potato chips, cheetos either.
BTW if I lost ten pounds it would be very noticeable. I gained 7 when my son came at Xmas - which meant I got to have steak or ribs for a change. Plus he insisted on going out for lunch AND supper. Either one was enough to fill me up. But I added 2-3 lbs. more just being lazy at home.(we didn't get snow for me to shovel)
Used to really like canned tuna but, find I can't tolerate it anymore. During my pregnancy I craved tuna with coconut flakes -
. Must have been the hormones causing it.
I generally eat one meal a day - the protein part. If I'm going to have peas, corn, potatoes that's what I would consider as some "snack" later during the day. I really can't eat much at one time. I'm not a veggie /salad eater at all.
With ice cream I believe the difference is it rapidly melts into liquid and takes a lot less room in the stomach. At least that is my take off on having it.
Rarely I remember to have canned pears - usually sliced so I just eat a couple pieces. Sometimes I have banana - the smallest ones I can find in the store. They have potassium I think which is supposed to be good
.
Funny my mother was even smaller and skinnier than me. But she hated meat, hamburgers etc. She loved veggies. Did love salmon (keep it away from me). She also loved cookies, cakes, candy, ice cream - hmm wonder if we had an instant connection.
PS I know I'm probably NOT 5 ft.tall but my mother always claimed she was, and she was shorter than me. At the doctor they always ask how tall I am and none of the nurses ever want to bother and find out for real. The child measuring thingy is right there and they could certainly have me stand against it.
If I survive( while covid etc. going on ) I will be 73 in July.
