morning everyone

sorry i haven't been here for a while but y'all know how it is when you get busy with garden, just not enough hours in the day, just came in from the garden, cooking my first of the season mustard greens(mine), washing rape leaves to put in the fridge for tomorrows meal, so far, we've had a mess of spinach and i froze three quart bags, did that monday and now it looks like i need to pick more tomorrow for freezing, peas have pods on them, just not filled out yet
tomatoes are coming up volunteer everywhere, i have no idea what kind, maybe peachwe will see, i left quite a few to see
got a new bird this morning, a big bourbon red tom, have no idea where he came from but if no one claims him, hes mine,he was in the bottom pasture and husband asked me if a wild turkey had white wings and back, dil's dog saw him and got a hold of him, tom lost a lot of feathers before she caught the dogs, but i told husband to catch him while i made my way down there from the garden husband was just about done in from carrying him back up

Good morning. Honestly, right now I'm sick of cooking and nothing sounds good. I'd rather look at a menu and have someone else do the work.

We tried something new last night and liked it. Since we love Cuban sandwiches, when I found a take off on them for Cubano burgers had to try them. The burger part is made with ground pork and seasonings, shaped into patties and cooked. Topped with Swiss cheese, ham, Dill pickles and on a Brioche bun smeared with a mix of mustard & mayo.

They were tasty! A bit on the salty side, but I'll adjust that the next time I make them.

hi im, yes, i like playing in the dirt, but i have to get the things in the garden done early, by 9 or 10 its already to hot to do anything and the bugs want to eat me up, i have to wear long britches and long sleeve shirt and a net hat to stay safe from them, by the time i come in i'm dripping wet, just need a bar of soap and a towel

thank you so much and yes, we're eating some things from it, still having to buy salad fixings from the store but my cucumber has blooms

that does sound good, we like the cubans too, and we do have sausage from our pig

Yesterday I-80 was closed east of us due to snow.

My cousin in Laramie sent me a photo of her yard covered with the white stuff.
