The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

You and the raccoons reminded me of what happened at the golf course about 2 years ago (can't remember if I mentioned it).

They were all over the course and getting into everything, including DH's office which has a cat door. The guys were kept busy trapping them almost every night. During one of DH's trips up here to Casper to work on the house, he left his 3 maintenance guys in charge of the trapping. The first one they trapped, they felt sorry for and thought they'd give the coon a chance to "do the right thing and leave". Of course it climbed straight up the closest tree. The 3 stooges didn't want to shoot it so they got the bright idea of trying to smoke him down. The tree caught on fire, burned to a crisp and almost took the pro shop with it. The raccoon escaped to raid another day.
Never heard that story:gig

Hi Mark, I agree!!
I 'm ashamed of myself but what happened this year with racoons here was so crazy, my eyes went crossed . All my eggs including the swans were destroyed by coons . I did all my fencing early so nothing could happen bad . Well I fenced over top of a pond drain and it never crossed my pea brain that the coons would travel up the drain pipe :he . I was dumb founded . In this case an electric fence couldn't do the job so I have to say anyone that wants to kick my behind please do so I lost so much with my own stupidity . I have been afraid to confess . On a different not the the buzzards ate well at my house .

Coons are sneaky critters. 3 summers ago their was a Raccoon pandemic around this area. Everybody had issues with them. You do the best you can do.
