Thank you! Pansies don’t like heat. Hanging baskets get root bound and need almost daily watering. I finally tossed my pansies out as they were struggling to survive.

I will have to find other plants that are ok around chickens

It's a really good team this year. They have a game at 2 - about an hour away from here. Strong possibility of rain. Princess is going - I have opted to stay home and get some things done if the rain will allow.

I hope so too! You can’t find them anywhere local. I found Ball ones with rings at Target online. I didn’t need the rings but ordered them anyway as there are limited options.

It’s going to be hot here the next 10 days. So when your humidity is that high I assume it’s like being in the tropics? I go by dew point. When it’s in the 60’s your miserable and the 70’s is horrid.

It is hard to find canning supplies here too!

I needed more jars so bought a flat of 16oz jars with lids.

The new baby is due the 22nd and she’s also going to watch her friends baby. I told her she’s crazy.

She IS crazy! Must be the baby hormones or something. I can see where she might think she could take care of her baby and another if she'd never had a newborn before but she's had two!

I have one of these to keep from heating up the house. It's nice when I do stock as I can have two canners going at once.

DH and I got to taste our first cherry tomato yesterday...it was delicious!

Nothing beats home grown tomatoes.

You should go (too late I know!). Never know how many more of GS's games you'll get the chance to see. He graduated HS right? Off to college somewhere? Maybe play ball there but maybe not near enough for you to go.

I have lots of jars. My boys gave me several boxes of jars one year for my birthday. They were all wide mouth, which I wanted. I have plenty of the regular. I can’t get wide lids though.

I’m expecting it to be very stressful. Working in a daycare she should expect it. I will not offer to babysit
