Good morning Janie. Why did they release her if she is still dehydrated? Praying for the best outcome for your family and you are able to keep your job.

I don't know. I can't believe that they didn't put an iv in. They did do a second CT scan. No change per the paperwork. My step daughter picked her up and it was stressful. She couldn't communicate with the doctor, as his English was limited.Good morning Janie. Why did they release her if she is still dehydrated? Thank you, Debby. We are going to check on home health Monday, and see if she is eligible.Hope your mom-in-law gets past this ok Janie. Is it possible to have some at-home nurse aide come in to help out? I have no idea how much something like that cost, or if it's covered by Medicare maybe?
I'll keep you all in my prayers![]()
Good morning everyone!
My son got here late yesterday afternoon, yay!
Good morning y'all! Happy Sunday.
My Mom-in-law was discharged yesterday evening, and is here with us. She is dehydrated and still disoriented. She can't get up and back in the bed without help, right now.
I'm not sure what I'll do about my part time job. My husband can't help her in and out of bed and to the bathroom. One of the daughters will be here today, while I work my 6 hours. Another one may be able to come tomorrow, but then I work Wed. and Thur. too. I really want to keep this job. I guess we will wait and see how it goes. I'm hoping she will be a lot better today.
Those of you, who pray, please do so for her. Those of you, who don't, please send positive thoughts and good vibes our way.

Frustrating for sure!I don't know. I can't believe that they didn't put an iv in. They did do a second CT scan. No change per the paperwork. My step daughter picked her up and it was stressful. She couldn't communicate with the doctor, as his English was limited.
They lost her clothes and shoes! Thank goodness, I took her purse, phone, and glasses with me. It is a small town hospital, under staffed, and mostly short term contract doctors and nurses. I am somewhat angry at the lack of care on their part. I have to say that the emergency room staff was excellent, communicative (is that a word?), and very caring. She went to the bathroom, is drinking and ate a little this morning.

So far, so good this morning.
