I finished the weekly dinner menu and have purchased the bulk of the grocery list at Walmart. Now I have to go to Raley's to buy the rest. Our neighborhood walmart did no have broccoli or ham shanks this week!

We will be having Vietnamese meat balls in broth for dinner...I am looking forward to making it!
 
I think the reason your hens are afraid of the sun flower head they think it is a predator eye watching them . You might try cutting the head into 3" x 3" squares or whatever . I bet they will act different . Anything that looks like an eye scares the daylights out of them . Oh! I found this cutie on a chair it's a stray cat . These grey ones show up in the fall they blend in well with the ground colors .

These orange ones show up in the fall they blend in well with the fall colors .
