Best parts of my day...DH built and installed a new gate and then he took me out for lunch. Not bad at all!

Keep a lookout for that bobcat Janie. I know of a member that lost her entire flock to one not long ago. He wasn't scared of her (the human) at all and she had to call a game warden out to get rid of it.

I'm not the best shot, but I was no further than 60' from him. Pretty sure I could hit that.
When my oldest daughter was a teenager, a stray cat gave birth to a litter of kittens in our barn. There were six, then five, then four. My daughter & son decided to do a "stake out" while I was working one night. They caught a bobcat trying to steel a kitten. My daughter got scratched pretty bad and made a trip to the ER for sutures. My son shot the bobcat before it took any more kittens. They are scary creatures. I'm trying to keep Boo in at night, but she runs out the door every chance she gets.
