The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

That's a good thought! I wouldn't wait to do the research. Inquiring minds want to know!
Exactly!
There are things we just don't know about. When my mother died I was taking all of her funeral plans to my sister (I had a must go to work meeting the next day). On the way there an image of my father entered my mind, and he said, "Dorothy, I've been waiting. What took you so long." When I returned home the Princess said to me, "The strangest thing happened when you left. I got a mental image of your father, and he said 'Dorothy, I've been waiting. What took you so long?" The image we both got was of him as a young man on the farm with a big grin on his face and a pipe in his hand - one of the pictures in a family album pictures him this way. Freaky, indeed !
That's a wonderful experience! Stories like this give me lots of comfort.
When my sister died, her mentally handicapped son was totally distraught (understandably). The day of her funeral he was much calmer and more upbeat. He told us he saw his mom in a dream and she told him everything was going to be ok.

That was so comforting to him.
That is comforting.
Put the hairs up on the back of my neck. First the fact of my father appearing to me, and then the fact that the Princess mentally visualized the same thing.
I truly believe soulmates are telepathic in a way. So bizarre and unexplainable but pretty amazing.
Good morning everyone! Happy Thursday!

Is this the metaphysical story time? :p

10 years ago, give or take, as I was sitting at my oldest son's bedside waiting for him to fall asleep (he was 2-3 years old at the time) with my back facing the bedroom door. I heard a noise coming from the front room. Trying not to scare myself (I'm easily frightened) I told myself it was nothing; but then I thought, "well, if is 'something'..." and I imagined "something" like, a ball of energy floating down the hall, through the bedroom door; in that very instant my sons eyed opened wide at the door, then his eyes bounced around the room, as if he was seeing that "something", then closed his eyes falling sound asleep. I was kinda spooked by what happened because it just seemed so unreal to talk about but, after reading Michael Newtons book "Journey of Souls" its comforting to me.

Chill worthy.
I'm not a ghost believer, or so I say, but sometimes stories give me chills.
My oldest brought home an imaginary friend once. My mother stopped at an old house for a garage sale. When we left, my 3 year old insisted on taking her new friend, Shay, home with her. She described her. She had an apron and a bonnet, boots, and blonde hair.
One morning when I was trying to get her little brother asleep, my daughter pointed at the closet shelf, and said "get down Shay!" A couple of photo albums fell off the shelf. It scared me to death. 🥶It still gives me chills when i think about it, but I still can't call myself a believer. On the other hand, I'm very superstitious. We left Shay behind when we sold our house. I was relieved.
I'll be looking for that book.

That is spooky! They say kids are naturally sensitive to that but I would be freaked out, too :lau I love spiritual experiences but I wouldnt want to feel/be "haunted".

It's a really good book if you're open or into that kind of stuff.
