Big question is, will Medicare pay? They don’t normally cover hearing loss. Just like all insurance, they don’t consider eyes, ears, and mouths as body parts. They’ll pay for a 90 year old man’s Viagra but not for a 20 year old’s hearing aids……go figger!

They will pay for anything, if your in prison. We just have to find an appropriate crime, for you to commit. I'm sure @bruceha2000 can come up with something.

There is a crazy blueJay trying to break into our house. This is the 3rd day that it's been flying into, and tapping on our window. The blinds are mostly closed. I'm not sure what it is trying to do. Our younger cat is fascinated.

My other neighbour and old friend has a damaged shoulder. He's worked since leaving school and is even old than I am (I didn't think that was possible)

He paid to see a specialist then was hoping too get his problem fixed with surgery in a couple of years. Imagine his disappointment when they told him there's a seven year plus waiting list.

My brother has cataracts, he also paid privately for his consultant, but he couldn't manage too pay for the actual operations for both eyes. He also has to wait many years and was not even given and estimated time

I hope they will. Grrr.

Those cochlear implants (I’m assuming that’s what she had) are incredible. I think for me the plan would just be repair - somehow - those tiny bones.

The technology they have is truly amazing. Hoping there is something they can do so you don't have to have a "new normal".

It may not be the technology but the cost. When Blooie posted what her loaner hearing aids were I looked them up with Google. They are 3 (3.5?) thousand PER EAR! That isn't exactly in most people's budget.

Me? Why me?? I've never been anywhere near the inside of a prison, not even inside the concertina topped fence! Nor have I ever been arrested for anything. I think she would have to find someone with a criminal mind and past to help her land in jail.
