they used to call it a pineapple express-- Cold Artic air mixes with warm tropical air causing a lot of rain.

There is usually wind with a lot of rain in bands. The bands can drop the equivalent of a river of water over the area of the band.

If the band misses you, then you do not get that much rain so it is hit and miss depending on the storm. Last winter we were in the high wind and rain zones long enough to be declared a disaster area.

Hi Debby. Thank you, so far it’s still lingering. I went out to do stuff in the yard but said to heck with it for today.

If you haven't read them, the (Michael Stagg) Nate Shepherd series is excellent. They are included in kindle Unlimited.
 
Good afternoon every one. I've read all the responses and am wishing all a good day and a better evening and night. I've had a follow up with my primary and when he looked at my back in the area where I broke the ribs he upped the pain med to a higher dose daily and for a longer period. I like this doc because he doesn't just right a script to get you out of the room and on your way out of his way. He is very concerned about keeping patients in good health not only from ailments but also from the meds they take. I will be missing a lot for the next week possibly. l will be most likely sleeping in my chair instead of out in one of the coops. Wife brings my small parrot sized "Honey" girl in for me and after covering me with a towel I get to hold her. It's amazing the way she looks at me as if she understands there is a problem and wants to help. She is a big help just sitting with me. Sorry about all the words but I miss the good people on BYC when I'm medicated and sleeping so much.
