The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning.

1/25 will be our 60th. The trip to Disney was a celebration of that. Regardless of how close you may be, time away from the routine can be important for reconnection. The Princess is really smart about relationships - I'm still learning.

60 is certainly something to celebrate! ❤️

We know. All we seem to do is work. Grandma is always busy sewing or cooking. She needs a break. Lately since I broke the ribs she's been helping a lot with the feeding and watering the flocks. I need a break from the daily grind too. She might even go fishing with me. I fish and she holds on to my belt so I stay up right. :) We'd have to get a picture of that. She used to fish along side me down on the FL coastal waters. Then a Trip to Branson, MO would be wonderful as we made memories there fishing for Rainbow trout. I think if we went to Branson we may skip the fishing as take a ride up to where we used to live and see some old friends that might still be among the living.

View attachment 3725509View attachment 3725510Good evening all. Had to share this recipe, it sounds delisherous!
The recipe sounds good, but my suspicion is that it would be better if salted butter was used or a pinch of salt was added to the spice and sugar mixture.

We have such a negative view of salt, a mineral necessary for life, that we cut it in the most odd ways. There is not very much salt in butter and adding pinch of salt to a sweet recipe is barely measurable when spread over the whole recipe.
