Unless your car a/c can go from broiling to cool in about 5 seconds, it wouldn't be quick enough for me.

I made it to the car and parking in the shade made a big difference.

The AC starts cooling the car when I am driving on the freeway, about 6 or so minutes.

Today it is 10 degrees cooler, which makes a big difference.
