That’s beautiful! I bake mine in loaf pans. I tried Dutch ovens but the bottoms were always too hard for me to cut through.
Good morning DMC. Thank you. I put foil on the rack below and also use a silicone sling under the loaf in the pan. That really helps. I just bought a set of cast iron loaf pans. I need to try them.

Good morning Janie! Thank you. We remodeled our kitchen a few years ago and I finally got a stone counter top. I love it. The Formica counters hubs built when we built our house served us well, but needed replacing.
 
I used to bake mine in Folgers Coffee cans. I never drank coffee but my dad would trade me three empty cans for one loaf of bread. 🤣
The can imprints made perfect groves for cutting thick slices.
I love that. 💗 Did it come out of the cans easily?
 
Whew, catching up with you all...our internet was down and I've been going through withdrawals.

We're ready for the kids to drop by tonight. DH and I have been real good about not getting into the candy so there is plenty to pass out :lol:
