The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning DMC!

Maybe you should skip the 3 artificial trees this year and try out one big real tree! They smell wonderful.

Our tree is an artificial pre-lit and that is easier than stringing the lights. And the lights are one less thing to take down after the holidays. I don't like taking stuff down and packing it away...that keeps me from putting up a lot.
I love the smell of evergreens. I buried my face in a real wreath yesterday at that Christmas thing my friends and I went to. I encouraged my friends to do the same.🤣It was at a Christmas tree farm.
I thought about putting a tiny one in my dining room. We have a couple little trees that have never gotten much bigger than when planted. They are not as bad as a Charlie Brown though. I’ll see what hubby says.

I empathize. Taking Christmas down is a real chore. I inventory as I take down the village so that I don't accidentally buy a piece that I already have (yes that has happened 🤦‍♀️) and so that I know if something has been broken and needs replacing. I have a notebook with the manufacture, name of piece, date produced, size (so I can plan next years layout) and any additional notes like chips or repairs. I might be a little nutty. Or a lot.
I've been known to skip several years putting it out and there always pieces that don't make the cut.
Sounds smart to me!

Taking down an entire city has to be real work! Even if the city is tiny. That's a good idea to keep a notebook with all the details.

Did you find some new cool holiday decor to add to your own?
