I am so excited to be able to get some eggs from some breeders on ebay and other sites that I am beside myself. I am going to try something different and see if I can set eggs in the incubator that have been sexed.
So I have 25 eggs set that I have sexed and have the sexes marked. I got them from 3 different breeders and so far one breeders eggs is much darker than the other two. I have posted on my blog what I think I have predicted what will come out of these. I can only wait and see. All eggs are marked and it should not be very hard to determine what eggs are what. I sure hope this works. This is sort of a journey for me. I would hope you would join me and see what the outcome will be. I will only be truthful on the outcome. I want to know if this works for real.

May I ask how you "sexed" your eggs? I know that people try several methods and wonder which method you are using.

Are you going to mark them some way as they hatch so you know which one came out of which egg?

I did this as well, with my mutt and EE eggs

I'm still waiting on the final outcome, but so far only 1 I sexed as a pullet is looking to be a roo

It will still be some time before I know on them all.

Yes I have almost a short sentence on each egg stating who where and what i think they are. The they are due to hatch a week apart. I will be like a mother hen watching over each one as it hatches. then they will be banded with the id of the seller and the sex. so when they become what ever they are going to become I will know what i predicted and whom they come from. They have come from Okla. New Hamp. & KY. I have the all marked clearly.
I want to be as accurately as I can for myself and for others. It would save us a lot time.

What means are you using to tell male from female? Egg shape?

I'm really not criticizing, I truly would like to know. This stuff fascinates me..

There is an art to it and I am not sure that it will work. Once I know it will work then I would be more than glad to share with anyone. I also know I have be told it is like witching for water. not every one can do it I hear.
I will be posting a video when the out come proves itself and that way any one can try it.
I know I am 100 % accurate on live chicks that is for sure. I am just wanting to make sure that what I am picking up in the eggs is not the out side coating on the egg when it passes through the hen. Course that doesn't explain why some of them read roos either.
But it seems the ratio is to good to be true. Stay with me guys.

My fancy tool for sexing. And it doesn't get any simpler than this. Maybe the energy is in the magnet for me. I'm to tired to use any anyways.

I'll start working on the video right away.
I am just afraid that it wont work for some and then they think I am the hokes. I just want to be sure. But you can Google it and find all kinds of ways. I just want to make sure it works.
I'll probably spit it out sooner or later. More sooner than later.
I would like to know other ways as well.
