at random. though there are a few southerns with not so perfect grammer their grammer is as good as any yankee! sometimes they do have ways they speak that ya'll yankee can't undersrand.

I can tell accents easily, it might be because I have been everywhere in the US it seems.
Sorry :p
Forgive me, it's just after being schooled most of my life up North, coming down here (Although this is my second year in Louisiana) and all the "y'all"s, "Who dat?" "What time it is?" "What that is?" and multiple other grammar errors really get to my grammar nazi side :p

I've been in MS for 3-4 years now XD it hard to understand but give it a few years ;) its like up north you say bag for a paper bag down south says sack. they have their own way of speaking. you may be hearing Cagin (sp)

Ah, very nice! Strikes me as a pretty typical American accent. As I said, I'm not good with distinguishing minor differences. :p

I rate it: 9/10, but only because I rate good old english accents best!

Technically, yes. I graduated a week before exams, which is kind of confusing, so I suppose I've been done for a little while.

That's interesting. I've never been very good at Asian languages, lol. Are you good at writing it? Whenever I try to write Russian it's just like, wow. This looks nothing like how it is in the book. :p

And good luck with the military - some old friends of mine who graduated in earlier years went into the Air force, which I thought sounded pretty cool.

Thanks XD I suppose the Northern Midwest accent is more of the 'normal' accent, and I use that term very lightly

Indeed!

Sweet!

I'm very poor at Japanese, but Korean I find very easy actually :3 the writing system is very easy and simple even! But I'm still working on hand writing :p Russian is easy to write man XD Well, everything but the letter "Ж" :p

Thanks! I can't wait! I'll probably be going to Basic Training this Summer, and going active duty the following summer

I always associated northern America with the 'normal' accent the rest of the world thinks of. :p But then again, don't people in Hollywood who are in the movies have the pretty typical accents as well?

I am yet to write any words that include Ж. I avoid the hard letters whenever possible
Yes, Japanese does look pretty hard with all the curly bits. Do you think you're going to visit Korea some day? I hope some time I can go to Russia. That's, like, my holiday goal. lol.

Very nice! Sounds exciting. What kind of stuff does Basic Training involve?

the west coast has no accent, the north has a slight english one, the east have a mix and the south is... well southern XD

lol, very interesting. West coast is California and Washington, right?

I never got round to memorising all the US states, even though I could evidently be bothered learning all the countries in the world. :lau
I was doing a Sporcle quiz for US states to kill some time, and I could only think up 48.
I had to cheat using this quiz:

(Adam you should give it a shot, practise the good old Russian alphabet. I had fun doing that. :p)
