the "not-so-bad" Blue Wheaten Ameraucana Hatch of 2010

They are only weak if it is a genetic issue. If YOU messed it up, I don't see the harm.

In my mind I did everything the same as last hatch.... like I said, last hatch I got 41 of 48 at lockdown and only had to help two.

I can hear peeping in the brinsea but can only see one pip.
In the 1588 there are 2 that have stopped zipping at about 1/3 the way around and 3 that have just had small pips for a LONG time.

Day 22 starts at 4PM. I set all but 8 of them at 4PM on the 31st... the other 8 were set the next day at 4PM... one of those has hatched.

Told my wife today I wouldn't hatch again until next April and only with my own eggs. She seemed pleased.

She doesn't want any but will allow 1.

I have 3... plus whatever is in the brooder.

Dang I'm disappointed in this hatch.

I couldn't believe the look of disappointment on my 13 year old's face when he saw all of those eggs in both bators with no pips.

Ya win some, ya lose a lot I guess.

I am sooo sorry to hear this.

I am still recovering from my bad hatch. I soooo know how you feel.

Know what we did wrong? We counted our chickens (and had plans for them) before they hatched!

Well - and we spent lots of money on the shipped eggs!!
