the "not-so-bad" Blue Wheaten Ameraucana Hatch of 2010

We'll see if I can keep my commitment not to set eggs again until April of 2011 and then only a weeks worth of my own eggs.

Take the wind out of you is RIGHT.

Guess I'll have to calibrate my brinsea.

I have 21 healthy chicks. One that is iffy
and 6 pips in the bators that aren't hopeful. 1 in the brinsea the others in the hovabator.

At this time on Friday, I'll dump the rest.

Just looked through the windows of the hovabator and I now have a total of 8 pips. I noted one had pipped way low so I put it on its side in the carton.

So 9 pips and the iffy one in the brooder is looking better.

I'm continuing to be positive even though...

Well, tonight, I'm going to bed, not getting up and hoping you are correct.

I'm sure I will, "see," you in a few hours, even if you do go to bed, Mr. King of Insomnia!

I really do hope I am right, too!

As I have learned, you don't need to calibrate the BRINSEA, but your HYGROMETER. I learned that the hard way. I am hopeful this time because in the past, all my own eggs have hatched 100% and that is all that is in there now. I need a success story, so I went with no shipped eggs this time.
