the "not-so-bad" Blue Wheaten Ameraucana Hatch of 2010

Eggs are here!!!

WOW... and they are all beautiful.

EIGHTY EGGS!!!

28 eggs from Peachick (Kathy) 4 extras!

35 eggs from Wayne Meredith (one was broken, but didn't leak) 11 extras!!!

18 eggs from pasofinofarm (Melissa)

Each group has their own distinctive characteristics!

Now we just wait for the other incubator... even then, I'll be stacking them for the first 10 days!!!!

I would theorize you could only do it in the middle, away from the heating element. But I am an egg serial killer, so don't listen to me.

Well my other incubator got here and the temp is regulating as we speak.
Here it is. I suppose I could stack in this one, but I'm not going to.

Most of the eggs in that one are my own.

So here is the grand total of my eggs in the three bators.

28 eggs from Peachick (Kathy)

34 eggs from Wayne Meredith

18 eggs from pasofinofarm (Melissa)

My eggs
1 GC Maran (should be pure)
3 BWA X BBL Polish (Policauna..

)
3 BWA X Salmon Faverolle (Salwheatenacauna )
1 BWA X Black Star (see if I can get a prolific green layer)... but it could end up being the offspring of the GC Maran that I rehomed.
7 BWA X W/BWA from my coop.

95 eggs total

OK, even son of Mahonri thinks I'm a little nuts because I have 14 stacked in the hovabator (but the turner keeps working)... and 4 stacked in the Brinsea.

Here's pics of the rest... first the Hovabator. It's stacked but when I candle at day 10, I know I'll be discarding at least that many so they should all have their own spot for the remainder of the incubation.

I tried to put the SF eggs in the InCube, but they fell through the holes!... also cracked one of my polish eggs because it fell through too. Melissas eggs on the 3 rows on the left. Kathy's eggs the 4 rows on the right but some stacked eggs.

And the Brinsea (All of these eggs are from Wayne Meredith)

So I'm a day early folks, but I'm still with the setting on Good Friday Hatch!

Not to bash anyone...just curious...how did the color compare between the 3? I just got my eggs from Peachick....will be getting some from Wayne and also Melissa (in 2 weeks)....Kat's eggs are so blue...

Well, I think it depends upon what you think "Blue" is.

All of them are beautiful.

To be fair, I think Melissa's Hens are older and at the end of their laying cycle, so yeah, they are blue, but faded.

Kathy's eggs are blue. My son says he thinks they have a tint of green in them, I just think that the color is more pronounced.

Wayne has a good mix, but his eggs remind me of mine. Some very blue, some faded blue, but also blue but not the deep pronounced blue that Kathy has.

Yeah, I imagine this will be entertaining!
