the "not-so-bad" Blue Wheaten Ameraucana Hatch of 2010

As my son was candling Peachicks eggs this afternoon. He asked, "Why aren't ours this dark blue?" I told him... well 8 months from now, some of them should be!!!!

Truth be told we have two hens that are laying a great color blue now... Peachicks has a tint more green than ours, but still a beautiful rich color.

Hard drive was fried.

Tech took 4 days to copy almost everything on it. Now we wait for a new hard drive and then the transfer of data from the copy to the new drive. It could be weeks before I'm up and running

Ugh. So sorry to hear. At least they were able to get your info from the hard drive.

I always hate the reminders of how dependent we are on these stupid computers! Hope you get up and running sooner than you expect!

Hi all, well I still have 75 eggs, `A total of 20 out of the 95 eggs have been removed.

28 eggs from Peachick (Kathy) at first candle 24 eggs remain. (these were all in the hovabator... so I still have 85% of hers... not bad at all!

34 eggs from Wayne Meredith at first candle 29 eggs remain. not bad for shipped eggs 85% remain.

18 eggs from pasofinofarm (Melissa) at first candle 11 eggs remain. 5 clear and two quitters that were most likely scrambled. 61% but to be fair she warned me about a fertility issue with one of the hens, and I don't know why, but I've always felt the P.O. there treats them a tad rougher than most.

My eggs
1 GC Maran (should be pure) 1 egg still there but it's iffy
3 BWA X BBL Polish (Policauna.. ) 3 still there but 2 are iffy
3 BWA X Salmon Faverolle 1 egg remains. Her back is the barest and two were clear ????????
1 BWA X Black Star . 1 egg, Still there!
7 BWA X W/BWA from my coop. 5 eggs remain.2 were quitters both of these in the IncuCubebator. Also in there, one of mine with a crack above the air cell remains!

95 eggs total ---- 75 total eggs at first candle 4 of 12 removed from IncuCubator, 3 of those remain IFFY

I'm thinking that they should be further along. The eggs in the Brinsea (all Wayne's eggs) seemed to be further along than the hovabator, so I imagine they will hatch first. Their air cells were much more uniform as the Brinsea keeps it at a constant 35% humidity.

On the reptipro-- still working out the kinks. It has its quirks, but fewer than my LG for sure. I can easily fit 30 eggs in it, using an egg carton. I could get another 15 in there, but I worry about the temp dif from the top of the incubator to the bottom. I will keep you updated.
