How did you deal with Goat's beak? Did he need surgery or did it heal on its own?Well, I have a shortage of photos right now, will try to get some today.
I have a lot of chickens, sussex, barnevelders, silkies and showgirls.
A few that stand out for me would be:
Thor. My oldest chicken and I believe one of the last two left that moved with me 5ish years ago. He's a Buff Sussex and has become so docile in his old age
Muffet. She's a little Double Silver Laced Barnevelder with Wry neck! She is so sweet and has a funny personality.
Goat. My Double Silver Laced Barnevelder rooster. A year or so Goat tore his whole upper beak off. After having to force feed him for a while he became incredibly friendly and a little attached to me.
I have so many more I could ramble on about but they're probably my top three![]()
Me too.I have so many more I could ramble on about but they're probably my top three![]()
I think i must of told everyone every detail about my chickens (especially how adorably amazing they are) 100 times! LolMe too.
My conversation often come back to my chickens, at time I am sure people are so bored which is understandable as they do not have chickens so they don't have that experience.
Completely at home care. Stopping the bleeding was the biggest and hardest thing and honestly all I did. After that was just making sure he was eating, which at first he could not cause it was too sore and he risked causing it to bleed again. It's grown back now. This is what it looked like and him back in November, interestingly those picture are almost exactly a year apart! How did you deal with Goat's beak? Did he need surgery or did it heal on its own?
