Wow, quiet roosters!

Yeah, they're all pretty quiet. The black cochin is generally obnoxious only at first light (4:xxam). Freddie, on & off thru out the day, but he's so small it's not that loud. The other 2 are sporadic.

You're lucky, mine tend to crow all the time. I might have one or two more than I need right now though.

The hens are probably thankful!

I know I have more roos....Freddie, Ducky, & company are 3months old now...6 out of 14 babies were boys. Plus I already had 1 roo & 3 hens.

lol...I'm sure...the boys have discovered girls, but the girls aren't having it!

I will say, this bunch is full of craziness. They steal carrots from under the buns noses, refuse to go to their roosts (prefer hanging on my patio), sneak into the house, etc. I have a dog door that I'm finishing making & until one was chased thru it when the towel & shower curtain were down they were clueless about it. Now, I have to close it up until it's completely finished with a door they can't open! If I don't, I have the chicks everywhere. Course my dogs just shrug & go "well, you told us to leave them. That they're babies & not to play chase with them." Can't win. lol

Sounds like a crazy bunch! My dogs would have non of it, they keep poultry and livestock where they belong, but that's their job.

Yeah, I've thought of getting an lgd breed once 1 of these 3 cross. I've got to choose based on service dog work first. If I can't wait til one crosses then I'll be having dog #4.

Not that I'd hate having another dog.

I am jealous that you have goats!!!! I'd love a couple, but no real space for them until I get the front yard fenced. If you can't tell by the pics, my house is in process for a few projects that need to be finished first.

Four dogs isn't too many! Get the projects done, then work on the fencing, goats are fun!
I have 4 dogs at the house, and co-own a fifth that lives on a farm in Michigan.

lol....I've had up to 10 between myself & former housemate before...everything from teacup chihuahua to grown great dane for those 10. About half of which were puppies.

Used to live in Lansing & was born in Oxford OH. Extended family has farmland in Mecosta MI. I'll take the desert...no snow.

I fell for goats in undergrad...had to catch 1 nightly for a play. Did that twice. Nutter butters & french fries seemed to be the lure trick for those 2 goats. lol Though, when they left the one in the 2 acre field with the sheep wasn't fun. Even less fun left in the pen with some big sheep that weren't nice! Those evenings....no goat appeared on stage due to technical difficulties.
