LOL No worse than me patting my hens on the tail when they squat....they seem to expect it...ah hem.   Well. anyway..

you must not have a rooster, in my experience most of the time it's hens that don't have a rooster that do that.

I make a huge fuss of mine when they squat for me. For some of them it's the only time I can touch the little beggars! We've got a little Old English Game bantam who will squat if you so much as look at her - sometimes I'm not even inside the run yet. The kids love it when they squat because they can pick them up easily.

I did have Rudy but he was way too loud so he went back to the farm...so my confused hens believe I'm the roo..
