I love this thread! Can I join?
I have read so many book it's not even funny. Ironically, the books that I've read written by authors still living today I can count on one hand.

I'm currently reading (I'm reading a few books at the moment) Lord of the Rings and just can't seem to get through it! I can read really dry, boring stuff, and just can't seem to get into.

I've read Great Expectations, Jane Eyre, The Eragon Series (I wish he would finish the 4th book!), and Anne of Green Gables. And I'm glad someone caught on to my chant

I can understand....the books are a little hard to get into. Have you read the Hobbit? It is really the first book in the series and is MUCH more exciting than the other books. I now just watch the movies.....

The Chickens' Maid :

Has anyone ever read A Thousand and One Nights?
I just finished Leaf by Niggle, by Tolkien!
I've also read Roverandom, also by Tolkien.
Did anyone else get books for Christmas?

I have REALLY wanted to read that, but have not been able to find the original unabridged version. And I refuse to read the shortened ones. Where did you find it?
I've never read those *scribbles names onto 'need to read' boom list*
Nope, no books for Christmas. I don't let anyone buy me books anymore because I have grown picky in what editions I like, hardcover vs softcover, publishing date etc.

Yep I read the Hobbit first, and it was much more interesting. I've never sat down and watched the movies, my brother was obsessed with them (books and movies) so I hated them, but I might end up watching them if I ever finish The Lord of the Rings.

Is that the trilogy where the wizards are raised by other wizards and the boy summons the demon? If I'm thinking of the right the right trilogy I read them a few years back.
