Nine more months? Try 9 more months plus another year or two. GSDs are slow to mentally mature. They are puppies until two, three years old at the minimum.
Jax is 11 months old and still very much a puppy; a very large puppy.

Really?! Klaus is almost 2 and I don't remember him ever being this much of a handful! (maybe I've mentally blocked it

Depends upon the lines, some mentally mature later while others physically mature later.

Mine were mentally mature early but not physically.

All I know is Zelda is a handful! Triple Trouble! Klaus was and still is vocal and whinny, but calm and laid back! You don't see her coming, next thing you know you got a lapful of Zelda, want to play!

Really? Every one I've ever known was an overgrown puppy for a very long time. Kane is very much different from Jax. Jax is all puppy. Kane has been serious from the start and already knows he has a job to do in life. He's not sure what it is yet, but he's ready to find out. He knows he's suppose to be with me at all times. Knows a few basic commands and is better about following commands than his older brother.

Yeah, Klaus was a big puppy, and still is in a sense, I just think he's a more laid back dog compared to Zelda. She's a wild woman!
Jax is sooo cute! I've show his pics to my DH, and we think he's beautiful!

Our female Sophie is a wild woman, and she just turned 10 months the other day. Our male Sampson was laid back, VERY vocal, but calm. Sophie just wants to GO and play, she isn't very vocal, but doesn't startle easy. She stays calm. I have yet to hear her bark at anything, so unlike Sampson in that regard. Sampson barked when a blade of grass moved.

I love them both. Jax is starting to get his "man looks", the "cape" and huge front quarters. Jax is very much DH's dog now, lives for the time when DH gets home at night, but he's protective of the whole family. He's so wonderful with our little GS, it's really a sweet thing to see.
We are having some trouble with Jax being so strong-willed, especially on walks and we've tried everything. May post about it for some more ideas.
Kane is my baby and I look forward to many happy years with him (them both). He's going to be huge. When he was at the vet the other day he weighed 27.8 lbs. That's a 10 lb. gain in 3 weeks! I feel so bad for him at mealtime, he's a little pig but I'm trying to keep him from growing too quickly, so I watch his portions.

Or when a grasshopper farts? That's what Jax barks at.

He hasn't gotten obsessive with his barking, so it doesn't bother me when he does.
Both of our boys are vocal. When DH comes home we can't talk for the first thirty minutes or so until the boys shut up.
