the +*OFFICIAL*+ German Shepherd thread :D

Zelda looks like a saddle back. so with the fading of the black into tan. I don't think she will have the rich red of the German lines.
But a good indication of her looks would be her parents. Do you have pictures of them?

For instance my boys.
This is their dad. Very dark.
Some pups in the litter were as dark as him. Mace looks a lot like his dad just not as dark.

This is their Mom. Very light.

Rex looks like his mom.
So knowing the mom and dad I knew the range that my pups could potentially be.
But also since mine are sable and not saddle backs they change with the seasons.

When I breed Mace to my girl Hexe next year I should have dark sables, solid blacks and bi-color possibly.

Here is my boy Jr he is 10 years old 130 lbs. We had his daddy for 12 years and his name was Sammy Jr is just like his dad He goes into the coop and sleeps with the chickens he also lets the chickens come into his kennel and dog house with him GS are great great dogs

That's my favorite coat color. Our Sampson was much darker, and his coat changed with the seasons. Our Sophie ( his Niece) has much lighter coat than Sampson ever was, but I've noticed her coat starting to change again since the weather started warming up. I just hope she has something like your females does.

Beautiful dogs, Crazy and Cackling.

We were discussing our boys coats last night. I love Jax's sable - there's a "wolf" under the outer coat, but I am really growing fond of the bi-color that Kane has. I hope it always stays as dark as it is now.

No I am not a breeder. We want only 1 or two litters for our own training and for those of friends. I am just an enthusiast. We brought back our dogs with us from Germany. We had hoped to continue schutzhund training here with them but there is nobody close to us. Thinking about sending down one of the boys to TX for training with my husband.
I am more interested in TDI, agility and herding anyways.
I don't know if anyone on here is a breeder. I can point you in the direction of some quality breeders if you want.

Gritsar, he should stay dark. You are feeding him a quality diet and he is a bi-color. So chances are excellent.
