sorry for all ?'s.

#1 You can't keep quail with chickens because of disease transfer, and i wouldn't keep them with pigs or goats either.
#2 What kind of quail?
#3 What kind of quail? A 2 foot tall pen is plenty enough, but you can go shorter. For a flight pen i would go pretty high.
#4 What kind of quail? Coturnix can weigh about 13 ounces and bobwhites can weigh 1 pound, and some butlers can reach just under 2 pounds.
#5 I have coturnix eggs if that is the quail you want
#6 Have no clue about buying them up there.
Hope this helps a little bit. I need more info to help you more.
I would start out with coturnix. I don't think keeping them with other animals would be a good idea. Lord knows what goats would do to them considering coturnix can't fly good. Bobwhites can fly great, but they are hard to raise. The goats or pigs would probably eat the quail's food too. You can make a cheap cage by putting them on 1/2 wire and enclosing 3 sides with wood, and leaving one side open with wire. In the winter you could cover it with a tarp to keep them warm.
You might get a little white on the wings, since white is recessive it is less likely to appear. I could show you a punnet square of offsprings if you want.
