The Old Folks Home

Glad you had a good birthday Penny!! I love Mexican food. Sounds delicious. And that’s awesome you got a nice new fridge!! Nice present!!

Btw, for some reason, the ouch thing never worked with Gator. He didn’t seem to care. But eventually if we figured out if we just said “no bite” gently, he started to catch on. We had to say it pretty firmly at first, and usually gently grab his mouth or get a toy, but eventually, he figured out what “no bite” meant and would do as asked.

My father once said he never heard such language - like I was letting off. He asked if I picked it up from some sailor. I truthfully told him I learned it all from him - but, kept a good distance away from him when I said it.

Swearing in of itself is an art form..... I use Quite a bit... more for empasis than anything else ususally gets a laugh because its unexpected.

But If I get mad I get cold and speech doesn't come out of me.... action does. Known to throw furniture.... or saddles.... Heavy work harness.

I have only been that mad on a few occasions... Takes a very lot to get me mad too.

I swore a lot when I was taking care of my Aunt at our house. It was so frustrating. Her dementia had her talk non-stop all day and evening until she went to bed. If she ran out of things to say, she would recite numbers. It was such a shame, she was so friendly and intelligent before Alzheimer's. After 6 months, I had enough.
My grandma talked constantly when we were in the ER.... Is that Alsheimers? Asking the same questions over and over with only a minute or to respite... I was very tired by the end of the day....

Grandpa had OCD... my grandmas Husband.... He would wash his hands over and over left to right then the same amount of times right to left. Door locking click click lock.... click click lock... fawcet off turn turn off snug up.... Grandma got smart and bought washerless fawcets because he would wear then out.

One time I came over and he was kneeling on the front lawn with his special knee pads on... Vaccuming the rabbit poo out of the grass... carefully parting the grass as he went.

Actually his whole family was odd.... so I am not surprised... His sister still calls grandma every Saturday at Precisely ten am and talks with grandma precisely ten minutes... Shes ninety and can barely hear hear still lives alone.

It depends on the person. After a while my Aunt didn't talk much at all. But yes, they are very forgetful.
