The Old Folks Home

Lyme disease. Imagine having the flu at its worst and it not going away after 5 days.....or a week....or a month. Then there is the brain fog, the achy joints, the double vision along with floaters, the loss of short term memory, the Herxing from bacteria overload in your blood. The fatigue, dizziness.....

Oh man is it fun....not.

Take care of yourself, @CapricornFarm. Trust me, the work will wait for you.
I thought I lost my marbles yesterday. I flushed the toilet and then flushed it a second later. How weird! But the critters are growing and need more room. And they need feeding and watering, that won't wait. I am trying new waterers but it seems the birds are too stupid to figure it out. 5 gallons of water and they go thirsty. Sigh.

No, not a fan of Lyme Disease. My sleep pattern is messed up and I feel way lazy. Too many aches and pains. But it certainly could be worse. If I force myself, I can get outside and do things. Once I get out there it is not so bad.
I knew a lady who went over 20 years before they finally diagnosed her as having Lyme Disease. Can you imagine? Her's was so deeply rooted that they finally had to use a hyperbaric chamber in order to knock it into remission for her. I'd see her from time to time in IL and would ask how she was doing. She said once that she was feeling CARPY and put herself back on Doxycycline for a month. We saw the same doctor so I knew he would go with what we told him when it came to Lyme.

I was about 6-8 months between infection and diagnosis. People were telling me that I was lucky because they had gone decades before being diagnosed. They also told me that because I was diagnosed early, I got over it faster. I just cannot fathom feeling that bad for 20 years.:th

What is sad is that some doctors just ignore complaints from women, as if they are making it up. I think mine was surprised I tested positive for Lyme.

That would be awful to say the least I agree but with that said we know that Dr's have for years not listened to women and many have died over it but until we all step up and say HEY we do know our body's ... We have to be our own advocates never can a DR tell me no
