Agree with ron Natural gas is best but, still have pay for it. One person living alone just cannot generate enough natural gas to be worth the effort.
Penny, I agree, that is sad. Mom and Dad never got to meet their granddaughter. Long story that is just too painful to relive. My heart broke for them. I got to meet her after mom passed away and dad got to spend time with her.
I cooked with natural gas most of my life as it was readily available. In IL when I met DH his stove was electric but the house was LP. Expensive! Expensive! Expensive. Here in MO, it's better. I think the last time I asked it was 1.60 more or less per gallon. But we heat with wood at this point in time and have two electric ranges. Our water heater is an on demand and uses LP. We have it hooked to a 20 gallon tank that usually lasts us 6 months. We like to live cheap. Sooner or later we will have to change our heating. Realistically we know we can't heat with wood alone when we are in our 80s then we will switch to a furnace and LP but till then, we like to keep money in our pockets and not give it to utilities.
Pups had a great time last night as when they started running around the pasture, hundreds of dragonflies descended on the field to feast on the bugs they stirred up. So naturally they switched from jumping for bugs to jumping for dragonflies and the dragonflies kept flying higher. Those pups just kept sproinging higher and higher trying to catch them. At one point three of them went behind a small hill we have in the pasture and we lost track of them except for one pup that sproinged so high that we saw him clear the top of the hill before disappearing behind the hill again. They did this for over a half an hour last night. I don't know where they got the energy but when we finally gathered everyone up tongues were hanging to the ground and they were moving a lot slower.
@CapricornFarm, congratulations on the good sales!
We had storms here overnight and more expected so not a lot of outside work today. Y'all have a great one.
Yeah, I sold most of the odd chickens that were taking up space! Gotta love that!Dh mowed around the chicken coop, and close to the house, then it began to pour again, still, whatever.
Cap, good sales.
I bet they slept well last night! They did this for over a half an hour last night. I don't know where they got the energy but when we finally gathered everyone up tongues were hanging to the ground and they were moving a lot slower.
