The Old Folks Home

I've checked in a few times to see what's 'shakin'. Been too busy. Hate it. The PT had me come twice this week. Means dropping everything getting cleaned up, driving to Kirksville, 45 min to an hour at the therapist, stop by the store or where ever afterwards and then beat it home. Half the day gone by then and I'm sore and cranky not to mention tired.

Then have to still work in at least one exercise session at home, which is up to 5 exercises now. On days without PT I have to do two exercise sessions. Told DH after doing my evening exercises, there's 20 minutes I'll never get back. Is it helping? Luckily yeah, I think it is. How much is the question. Less numbness in my left arm and the muscle spasms are less plus my posture is better. A couple of the exercises actually make my arm numb so I have to stop until the numbness leaves before I can continue. Sigh.

The good news is I don't have to go back till next Thursday which is a relief. So much to do around here before cold weather hits.

We have flash flood warnings for the weekend. Up to 4 or more inches of rain expected. Hurricane in the gulf moving moisture this way and going to stall out. Oh. Joy.

I hope the storms are not too bad for you!

PT sounds like quite an ordeal. I hop it helps

We need the rain, @ronott1 so nobody is complaining too much but it's rough getting it all at once. We've seen over 6 inches get dumped on us overnight which results in a lot of flooding in the streams and rivers. It just isn't often that we see a '100%' chance of 'heavy rain'.

And I hope the PT helps also as I'm putting a lot of effort into it. I know there is no permanent 'fix' for it but if the exercises can hold off the muscle spasms or lessen their intensity, I'll do the exercises. DH and I got our bike ride in night before last. Had a good time as we rode past a lot of Amish farms and had a lot of horses and kids gawking at us with 'wha was that?' looks on their faces when I went by them on my trike.

@NotAFarm! Good morning and good to see you visiting the 'home'.

I stop by most days to see what everyone is up to, just don't post much.

Thanks for the updated pics of the pups. I'll show them to my Sis when I see her next month. Her ACD is black, gray and white and 13 years old...and neurotic...her description, not mine.

We need rain here too. Fires are starting up in the area and accuweather sent me a fire danger alert yesterday.

I have to keep up with my exercises too. congenital spinal stenosis is not fun!
