The Old Folks Home

That makes sense. I didn’t think of that.

I guess that stuff needs to get done, huh?

So do parents just like..... never rest or get a break ever!? :th

Hmm that’s true.

Hm that’s true. Didn’t think of that. Cause otherwise they are running around like crazy?? I guess the stuff needs to get done. Darn. LOL
And the mother never gets to eat a whole meal at once, the whole time the kids are growing up.

OMG seriously!? I love food/eating/snacking so this is going to be a serious problem :lau
When they are little, they want to nurse when they smell food. Then when they get older, you are feeding them and cutting up food.

Oh boy that sounds like a real pain haha maybe I could eat while feeding them? A bite for me, a bite for them. Multitasking. :lau

rest? break?:gigDW and i went to visit my step-sister when her son was an infant. She was SO HAPPY that she could actually take a shower.

Yeah, we are trying to break Ben from doing his circus act. Namely charging towards us at warp speed and hurling himself in our arms.
But Mommy, he WUVS you!
Man that must be painful, he's not a 5 pound puppy.

Sure she does. Dad or Mom eats, the other takes the kid and when the first is done, they take the kid and the other eats. Works in restaurants too. You didn't want HOT food did you?

Yeah. No kidding somewhere around 35 pounds. Problem is he's so darned cute when he does it. Unfortunately I have welts and scratches, not to mention bruises all over my chest from his enthusiasm. He's starting to run in, run towards me and when I hold my finger up to him, give him the 'mommy' look and tell him no, no, he sits down in front of me and waits for me to invite him to put his front lets up on me and give me a smooch. That plus our Spotty dog has taken a decidedly firm hand or in her case mouth in correcting them. It kicked in after the last time they went after the cats. It was like she is saying "I'm tired of this crap! BEHAVE!" Now she stands in the utility room doorway and barks her head off at them. Nobody jumps over the gate when she does that.

She gets a little extra biscuit in her bowl for her efforts.

I am relieved they at least get to eat though lol

Currently I do like one or two things and get completely wiped. :hide

Definitely need to work on that first :lau

Kdogg the trick to eating in peace, when you have kids is to sneak out and eat when they aren't paying attention. Also good for teeny white lies. My son used to ask why he never saw me eat veggies. I told him I eat before he does. That part was perfectly true.
