Deer sausage....steaks....roasts.....:drool A bodacious mount for the wall......

:lau :gig :lau

While that certainly sounds tempting, for now he will strictly be shot with the camera. :D

He didn’t know that though and took off into the woods shortly after. His antlers were huge. Photos don’t seem to accurately capture it lol

They are starting to get 'proddy' now that the rut is in the offing. Cool weather tends to trigger it. We have been seeing does in our timber and last fall we caught a 10 pointer on our game camera. Problem here is that the big bucks are smart. They don't get big by being careless so they go nocturnal at the first sound of a rifle shot. They also seem to know when hunting season begins because very one says they disappear into the deer caves after the first day of rifle season.Friends told me not to be choosy when hunting. If I wanted a buck but saw a doe, take the doe. Frankly I would prefer a doe. Lots more tender and tastey.

That makes a lot of sense! I believe the animals are definitely smart because we get a lot of turkey, deer, etc. in our yard during their respective hunting seasons. I think they know when it is and know this is a safe area. But then again they’re also probably just more active during the season changes. We have tons of squirrels out all of a sudden too. And just saw some blue jays today. As well as praying mantises. And of course the deer. And chipmunks. Probably that time of year haha

It is a bit hard to tell in my Family. All of those that died of cardiovascular issues also smoked.

I am starting to believe that smoking and not genetics was the biggest factor
My Dad only smoked while in the army, yet he needed a triple bypass, aortic aneurysm repair and a valve replacement.

When they are little, they want to nurse when they smell food. Then when they get older, you are feeding them and cutting up food.

And when you are pregnant, you spill food down the front of EVERY maternity top you own. Toward the end, you have to sit at least a foot from the table.

If a person ever was a smoker, the risk goes up! It gets better when a person quits but there is only so much that can recover.

In my Family, the ones that smoked had the issues, even my cousins that likely did not smoke that much compared to my Grand Parents
