The Old Folks Home

Was planning on going to the dog show today but it is so gorgeous today we may do something else and go tomorrow when it is supposed to be cloudy. But idk. Today’s the big day I think and I want to go but we’re also staying overnight so we could get up early and go right away tomorrow. Got kind of a late start today ha so idk. Was gonna go to the dog show today and horse show tomorrow (decided I can’t do both in one day, kind of a long walk) but now might do something outside today and dog show tomorrow. Idk. Gotta decide. Still got about 45 minutes to decide haha on the way now. I will say though that the color is gorgeous. :love

I was going to take the kids to the library later today. I'll have to check to see if they're open. Storms are predicted for the whole weekend, and a lot of events have been canceled, and a lot of things that would normally be open, are closed.

Hopefully they are open, Clue!! :fl

Looking at the judging programs/schedule (so nice this stuff is online nowadays!), we missed a lot of the breeds we like today because they were early in the morning whereas tomorrow they’re all in the afternoon or a little later morning so we might just go tomorrow so we can see all the breeds we want to see. I don’t mind if there’s slightly less dogs or whatever. :)

I mostly just hate to be inside on such a gorgeous day. It’s an inside show. Being inside on a cloudy day is a bit more manageable haha

We might go apple picking or hiking or something instead.

My mom just got a new job and had to work this weekend but it’s my dad and I.

Sure we’ll have fun either way.

I’m having fun just looking at the gorgeous scenery we’ve passed. :love

Gorgeous fall leaves and lakes/ponds and such.

You guys are so lucky. Our local store, part of a regional chain, doesn't offer any really 'good' cheeses. If you can't pull cellophane off of it and slap it on a slice of bologna, you ain't gonna find it there sort of variety.

I can google Tillamook and it claims it's available at Walmart but when I add the local walmart location, it says it's available but not at Kirksville. Very strange.

I grew up eating cheese thanks to my dad who loved really good cheese.Muenster and Pennsylvania Dutch Cup cheese were pretty much standard fare. Our local Amish General Store recently closed down as the owners moved to Iowa, used to sell bulk Muenster.

Hands down it's my favorite, along with a really mild baby Swiss.:drool Luckily, Cheese is one thing that is permitted on my gout diet so I try to eat one meal a day that is cheese based.
My favorite too! :highfive:

I think I screwed up my guts with soda and alcohol over the years.

I don’t drink but I used to drink tons of soda and eat tons of fast food (at one point it was like every day :hide ) and carp. Quite that but still. Can’t eat fast food anymore. Causes the stomach pain and/or migraines. As does fried food and soda. Probably just as well though haha

Face it oldsters....it's like the guy who once told my husband, 'If I knew I was going to live so long I would have taken better care of myself when I was younger!'

Unfortunately, a lot of us could say that....except for KDOGG who still has a chance.....y' hear me girl!?;):hugs:old
