The Old Folks Home

The library was open. We had a good time. Granddaughter got to read about the two topics she needed, to finish her extra credit worksheet. I renewed my 25 year old library card. They gave me a new one, that even has the little cards for my keyring, and a nice Star Wars cloth bag for carrying books. I read a couple books to the grandbaby. She seemed to enjoy that. Grandson read a couple books too.

Next month, to encourage kids to read, they're bringing in a pet skunk. The kids will learn the difference between a pet skunk, and wild skunks. They will also be encouraged to read to the skunk, because the skunk likes to hear children read to it. It's for the kindergarten to 3rd. grade age group.

Sounds like fun.

Got the tin on the roof, and started on the wire.

Great looking pen. Is this one for the turkeys?

Micro bet you're glad your 5 haven't come upon any skunks. Pee YU. My dogs were always fenced in a run or on lead. But my sister's dog got skunked, and the same weekend her daughter's dog was also. They didn't live near each other.

DW tried to ban them started calling them 'leggings' inappropriate around a house full of girls
Yet women can go out anywhere in public with tighter and thinner leggings. Go figure.

Our last cattle dog was a complete idiot.
And now you have multiplied that by FIVE!

Ever drive 150 miles with a damp dog reeking of tomato juice and left over skunk pee in the back of your van?
No but I bet your clients the next day had an inkling.

Cap, you stay sooooo busy. I get tired just looking at pics of all the things you do. Keep up the good work. I'm sure your chickens will be happy in their new pen.
I spend more time quilting than anything. Just a few hours here and there on a project adds up.
