The Old Folks Home

Okay went early to what I thought we were going to see was the new movie Maleficent
nope went to a bad cartoon of 30 minutes Adams Family very disappointed yes part cute but nothing new same as watching as a kid and paid good money for the little cartoon ..
used peroxide, tomato juice and dawn after it came out for skunk but that was my own dogs

then again they may just try to 'kill the black and white kitty' and be done with it although I can't see them coming away without being skunked.
Well if they are fast and stay in front of the skunk they should get away with "only" what the skunk has sprayed in the air. My understanding is they have to plant their back feet to spray (don't know if it is true) so if they can keep it moving, they might get away with the act.

I am drained and exhausted (yawning, feeling heavy) often. My old doc tested me for everything they could think of. Recently changed doctors to someone closer and she learned I still have hot flashes (20 years on!). She thinks the deep fatigue may be hormonal and has me trying black cohosh to see if it makes a difference. It mimics estrogen in the body, apparently, and my family history of cancer makes her reluctant to try actual estrogen.

Old age ain’t for sissies, as they say.

I don't know why, but today I felt totally drained. I laid down for a nap, and slept all day, until supper time. I really wasn't ready to get up then, but had to. Fortunately, I had enough leftovers for a very good, quick meal for the family.

I am tired today too and wondered why and saw that I had 15067 steps, 120 active minutes and went up 18 flights of stairs

Work was very busy today!

I have been working on getting the playhouse hooked up to the run. Need to add some ventilation somewhere.

The tunnel will let them get into the run, I do have a ladder made to help them get back in.

Cap, that is darling. I wish our winters here were mild enough that I could pull something like that off with my birds.

@trumpeting_angel, when I was working clinical, the nurse I worked with and I were both suffering from hot flashes. We kept a bottle of Black Cohosh in the bottom drawer of our desk and passed it back and forth during our shift. It does work, or at least it did for me until they discovered that I was 'estrogen sensitive' and the low dose hormone therapy they put me on OD'd me on estrogen. The only cure was to go cold turkey. It wasn't fun. I was driving back and forth to work and sometimes couldn't remember how I got there. It's not getting old it's being a woman and getting old.;)

I went to have a portrait done at one of those photo shops in Walmart and the photographer kept wanting to retake my picture using different camera filters. When I asked her what was going on she showed me my proofs and said she couldn't understand why my face and neck were coming out so red. I just laughed and told her she had just captured a hot flash on film. The next time I went to the doctor I showed him the pictures. No more arguing with me about the severity of my hot flashes.

That was back in 2005. I'm still having hot flashes 14 years later.
