The Old Folks Home

All of our ground apples went to feed wild rabbits, coyotes and crows. The crows preferred the older fermenty ones that fell over the fence and weren't cleaned up. Nothing like driving down the road and encountering 200 drunken crows standing in the middle of it in absolutely no hurry to get out of the way.

:lau The mental picture is priceless!

@CapricornFarm, I see you still aren't wasting 7 hours a night on that nasty sleep habit. Frankly, I don't know how you do it. I have a pile of Christmas tree ornaments that are staring me in the face to get finished, a sketch of a French Bull dog that I have to have done before Christmas for a friend of DH's, two quilts, one sofa throw and several crocheting projects to work on.

I hope it's a long winter.

As far as the sewing and crocheting is concerned at least.

DH and I were hiking the trash out to the dumpster that is by the road this afternoon when he suddenly stopped and said "LOOK!" and tapped the ground with his toe. Sure enough there was a clear deer print big as life, not more than 75 feet from our house! Lousy little so and so's were in our front yard. We haven't been out since Sunday. The weather is beautiful here right not. I think the temp is supposed to be in the low 60s tomorrow so many I'll wander out again and let them humiliate me again!
Oh I get lots of sleep. Go to bed at 2 am, get up at noon. I was thinking I should go to bed earlier and get up earlier. And if I don't get enough rest, I know how to take naps.
