That first one after the geese is stunning.... Is that Cotton?Friday I got the chance to take a short hike with my son. It was really nice since we don't get to spend a lot of time together. The dead plants were really catching my eye that day. Last year my Youngest DD adopted brother and sister kittens. They were found at a trailer park in Davis after their mother and one sibling had already died.Micro, I’m sorry too about your beloved Cash. The ones who wander into our lives or are brought home from some lonely spot at a shelter seem to have the deepest clutches on our hearts.
but we are dry inside and warm

Maybe you should wear catcher's or hockey gear? Ouch!Thankyou, @getaclue and @trumpeting_angel.
Cash came into our lives the same week my kitty, Ruger, went missing at our first property here in MO. DH got him for me but it was obvious from first meeting that he was bonding with DH first. 3 weeks later Ruger showed back up at our doorstep as if nothing happened out of the ordinary and just like she did when she first came to us as a dumped stray at 4 months of age. Even the vet was amazed at her excellent condition as she had only lost 2 ounces. She and Cash bonded immediately which was weird as Roo doesn't like any other cat in our household except Cash. He's definitely a 'special' kitty.
Lousy weather here this morning. Snow, wind, rain, cold, okay, it's winter but that doesn't mean a body has to like it! LOL! They keep saying 'sunny' for the forecast, or 'clearing' and then you wake up to BLAH! Kinda depressing and demoralizing especially when I have coops to clean, chicken nails to trip and small cockerel's to chastise for breaking off tail feathers on the bantams from squabbling and trying to grab a hen on the fly.
@dsqard will you please stop being so danged talented? You make me feel bad. Just kidding but your photography really does rock.
Finally got the Christmas trees up and decorated. Trying to urge DH to get pics of my chicken ornaments that I made so I can post them.
Also nursing a sore nose which is what one gets when a cattle dog slugs you a good one with his head while trying to give you a sloppy kiss and misjudges the distance between its nose and your nose. Ouch is all I can say. I'll be lucky not to get some bruising out of the deal. At least the pup apologized by getting his depth perception right and giving me a wet kiss while I was cradling my nose and moaning.![]()
